Golfing in SWFlorida

Are you a Golfer? Can you imagine to be able to play golf year around?
Florida is the perfect place for you.
The Sunshine State has more golf courses than any other State in the United States.
Florida is known as the golf capital of the world, with more than 1200 golf courses, that’s more than any other State. The best part, many are open to the public.
Whether you are looking for an exclusive country club or neighborhoods with excellent amenities, or a public golf club just around the corner. Sarasota and Charlotte County offer what your heart desires year-round for endless enjoyment.
There is no need to worry about any snow ruining your golf plans during the winter season. With temperatures usually in the mid-60s and the low temperatures dropping down to the mid-40s, you could have the opportunity to golf year-around.
While there is snow in the northern part of the country, here in Florida you can play golf all winter long. During the summertime, you might want to strive for a morning tee time to beat the warm and humid temperatures and there is always a possibility of an afternoon rain shower.
You might find some entertaining sightings while on the fairway, as we have much wildlife around. There is a variety to discover while you move along the course, from rabbits, egrets, turtles and occasionally an alligator. The golf courses can be a great sanctuary for those animals, and combined with those pristine greens and waters it is an adventure itself.
Here are just a few of the Golf courses to choose from. Some require a membership, or you must even live in that community, while others are open to the public. We will go into more details later.
